College of Administration and Economics is considered a source of administrative, economic and accounting thought in Iraq, with a history full of pioneering scientific competencies in the administrative, banking and accounting fields as one of the platforms of science in our dear Iraq. It established  in 2009-2010, the college opened with departments of financial and banking sciences, and business administration, after which the accounting department was created, and 200 students were accepted in the first year of its establishment .At level of postgraduate studies, a master’s study was started in Department of Banking and Financial Sciences in 2014-2015 academic year.

The first batch was 5 students who graduated in academic year 2017-2018, the number of students in this department now are thirty-six students, twenty-three of whom are in  preparatory year, and thirteen students are in research stage. In addition, the department has introduced a doctoral study and a higher diploma. Admission to these programs will be available  next academic year.

As for Department of Business Administration, a master’s study was introduced in academic year 2015-2016, and the number of students who graduated from this department so far has reached thirty students, and the number of students in this department is now twenty-six students, including twenty-three students in preparatory year and thirteen students in academic year in search stage.

while a master’s study in Accounting Department was startd in 2016-2017, where ten students have graduated so far, the number of students continuing in this study is twenty-nine, fifteen of whom are in preparatory, and fourteen are in research writing stage. With regard to the proposed studies for innovation, they are a doctorate and a higher diploma in departments of Business Administration and Accounting.

Our college has a noble and important goal determined by strategy adopted by the College Deanship, which aims to achieve all requirements of scientific progress and the most important thing is to meet the requirements of labor market through convergence between theoretical studies and practical reality,  strengthening scientific research in solving administrative problems and supporting researchers as the number of scientific research exceeded Published in international and local scientific journals (46) research for  academic year 2020-2021.

The scientific and knowledge renaissance that our college  is witnessing is clearly visible throw  the large turnout rates for applying for graduate studies in our college exceeded 200 students for this year. They competed to obtain about 36 seats for graduate studies in scientific departments. The study is between one year and the stage of research in the various scientific departments, Currently, there are more than 100 postgraduate students continuing to study between  preparatory year and research phase in various scientific departments.

In conclusion, our college cannot but be proud of its new vision by presenting its scientific thesis, which emphasizes moving forward towards a bright tomorrow, by providing positive leadership, efficiency, competence, qualified for leadership, in a way that contributes to achieving progress and development for our dear country.

The college is seeking to be exemplary with a distinguished level in providing a high-quality level of academic education and in carrying out scientific and applied research and keeping pace with internationally approved standards, and this requires expansion and deepening with colleges and universities at home and abroad to serve staff, students and society.

     The college works on graduating qualified students for leadership, creativity, participation in various scientific fields and to give knowledge through the completion of solid scientific research and investment of modern technology to serve the applied sciences and to meet local and regional needs. Directing faculty members towards scientific research and linking with the needs of society and local issues and national community.

• Obtaining a certificate of international quality and reliability for all college programs.

• Establishing specialized investment centers to cooperate with the various sectors of society.
• Opening and creating Information Management Department and Financial Analysis Department.
• Opening and developing postgraduate studies and developing modern scientific programs for all scientific departments in the college.
• Expanding the absorptive capacity to accept students in all departments of the college.
• Influencing society and economic and social environment, encouraging positive, economic and social values, and encouraging learning and acquiring knowledge.
• Serving the environment by submitting inquiries and opening horizons in order to motivate community and enhance moral values ​​and mutual benefit.
• Opening training courses for departments and individuals from the private sector and in possible specializations to increase qualification.
• Starting to build College of Administration and Economics in Al Bakriyah area, that contain (120) classrooms, (3) discussion and seminar rooms, a deanship, and (6) scientific departments with all their requirements, including halls, administrative rooms, laboratories, a research center, a large club, a basketball court, a yard for parking wheels, and enough space for students according to Quality assurance standards and university performance.
