The College of Administration and Economics at the Iraqi University is a source of administrative, economic, and accounting thought in our beloved Iraq. This college, with its rich history of leading scientific talents in the administrative, banking, and accounting fields, is one of the pillars of science in our dear Iraq.
Its establishment dates back to the year 2009-2010, when the college was opened with the departments of Financial and Banking Sciences, and Business Administration. After that, the Accounting Department was created, and 200 male and female students were accepted in the first year of its establishment. This number has now reached more than 2500 male and female students at the college level in undergraduate studies.
At the level of postgraduate studies, a master’s study was started in Department of Banking and Financial Sciences in 2014-2015 academic year.
Vision
The college must be exemplary and of a distinguished standard in providing high-quality academic education, conducting scientific and applied research, and keeping pace with internationally approved standards. This requires expansion and deepening cooperation with colleges and universities at home and abroad in a way that serves affiliates, students, and the community.
Message
The college aims to graduate students qualified for leadership, innovation, and participation in various scientific fields, disseminating knowledge through rigorous scientific research and the application of modern technology to serve applied sciences and meet local and regional needs. It also works to develop internal academic systems to meet academic requirements and standards, and strives to guide faculty members towards scientific research and its connection to community needs and local and national issues.
Goal
- To graduate students who have the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform job duties in various government departments.
- Paying attention to scientific research through the publication of scientific journals and the holding of seminars and conferences.
- Obtaining international quality and accreditation certification for all college programs.
- Developing human resources through participation in training courses inside and outside the country.
- Establishing specialized investment centers to collaborate with different sectors of society.
- Opening and establishing the Information Management Department and the Financial Analysis Department.
- Opening and establishing postgraduate studies and creating modern scientific programs for all scientific departments in the college.
- Expanding the capacity to accept students in all departments of the college.
- Influencing society and the economic and social environment, promoting positive economic and social values, and encouraging learning and knowledge acquisition.
- Serving the environment by providing inquiries and opening horizons in order to stimulate the community and promote ethical values and mutual benefit.
- Opening training courses for departments and individuals from the private sector in possible specializations to increase qualification.
- The College of Administration and Economics building in the Al-Bakriya area contains (120) classrooms, (3) discussion and seminar halls, a deanship, and (6) scientific departments with all their requirements of halls, administrative rooms, laboratories, a research center, a large club, a basketball court, a parking area for cars, and sufficient space for students according to the standards of quality assurance and university performance.
